Hale saw this Clinton thing coming back in 1995. Why? Because he's a "Clinton Hater?" Nah. Because he's part of the "vast right-wing conspiracy?" C'mon. It's out of a respect for the law and the love of our system of government. With every day that a criminal can be our "chief law enforcement offcial," with every politically motivated audit, with each new person silenced, we become one tiny, small step farther away from what our Founding Fathers. We become closer to those corrupt societies we abhor. We drift closer to a country with a powerful and corrupt executive branch that stays in power by swaying the masses and intimidating their enemies. Couldn't happen here? Goebbels would be proud.
