Hale's NFL Picks
The Week in Review
Hale went 10-6-1 with his picks last week, and is still
shaking his head after that Tampa Bay game. While Hale is not particularly
thrilled about this week, he has some picks he feels pretty
confident about. This is the week of the win but no cover. Also,
Hale likes many of the O/U's better than a lot of the sides this
week.
As you may know, Hale predicts ALL sides in e-mail, while putting
the spotlight on 1 or 2 games. Now, many people are fixated by
winning percentage. It's hard to pick all games every week and
remain over 60%(which Hale is, by the way). So, this week, we try
a new format in e-mail. All picks are still there, but only a
handful (7) are recommended while the rest are only included for
your edification and curiosity.
Hale's Picks for Week 16
- Arizona/Philly OVER 38
- Buffalo/Miami OVER 40.5
- Rams - 3:Don't look now, but the Rams are 5-1 ATS this
year when favorites, and have won all 6 games outright.
The 'Skins have covered this series 4 of 5 times, though, but
that was in Los Angeles. The Rams have looked good beating teams
that have a losing record thus far, and should beat Washington here.
Ugly game.
- Chargers + 3:Let's see if I got this right: San
Diego is 10-1 ATS as an underdog against "ok" teams; the Colts are
coverless when laying points in a dome (0-6), after a win (0-4 ATS),
and after a cover (0-3 ATS). The Colts have NEVER covered in San Diego,
going back to 1981 (0-6), and the Chargers have covered in the series 7
of 8 times. Hale takes those points (then again, Hale took the points
last Monday night!).
