Week 2
Week 1 Recap
Enough of you were interested to convince Hale to put some picks up after a year off in
1997. So, Hale locked himself in a room, started doing the research, analyzing
the trends, and crunching the stats.
In Hale's first week back after a year off, he won 64% in
all games (not counting Monday's Denver pick). His lone
best bet covered easiily and the 1998 season is off to a kick-ass start.
Week 2 Public Stuff
- Oilers - 6: When the Chargers play their first road game
of the season, they're 1-11-1 since 1985. In their second game of the season, they're 3-15
since 1979. While SD won last week, they didn't exactly roll up the yardage (only 67 yards
rushing). The Oilers should give them a better reality check than the Bills did. Aside
from the fact that the Oilers are 5-0 ATS in this matchup, and the fact that the Chargers
are 1-4 before an AFC opponent. While the Under could be tempting with a skaky Leaf in his
first road game, it's not enough to talk Hale away from fingering the Oilers.
- Just for fun - Saints/Panthers UNDER 35 and Packers/Bucs UNDER
40
All games handicapped in email -- this is just one of 'em.
