Big deal, right? Well, I have this uncanny ability to pick a majority of the week's games against the spread, as well as the over/under stuff. Any handicapper can spit out a team as their "pick." But do they bother to tell you why they're choosing that team? Usually, no. Hale tells you all the reasons for his picks. Wouldn't you like to know how a handicapper reached his conclusions? Hale shows his work.
For Hale's last full season, Best Bets are an impressive 19-10. Hey, it's a gift.
Well, actually, that's not true. Hale sits here for hours each week, doing his homework like a good little student. He checks out tons of analysis trends, injuries, recent performances, angles and statistics. Then, the test (Sunday's games) come, and he gets good grades. And he shows his work.
None. No catch. Some of Hale's favorite picks are posted here FREE each week. Ever the entrepreneur (yes, I looked up the spelling), Hale's also the kind of student who's willing to make ALL the correct answers to the test available to other kids. So, each week, Hale researches and writes about EVERY single game, and has a couple of Best Bets. He usually puts one or two Best Bets up for free on this here page, and the rest go in a very extensive email letter.
So, in a nutshell, Best Bets are the highest confidence, Picks are those where there's some confidence, and the rest get written about but have not enough confidence to make them a pick.
